The Jimsar County has 1 million-mu agricultural acreage which fully realizes contiguous drip irrigation, it is rich in water resources has advantageous climatic resources: 150-160 days in the year are frost-free 3500℃---3600℃accumulated temperature higher than 10 degrees. 30 kilometers to the east of Jimsar County is Qitai County, the 3rd largest county of Xinjiang having 2 million-mu agricultural acreage, is an important national grain base county is an ideal base for producing early-mature middle-mature stage maize varieties with its abundant light heat resource.
